One of the most overlooked products we have is the Nock On Shot Trainer. It’s simple, portable, and lets you work on your release aid, front hand position, and anchor with either a wrist strap or handheld release.

The Shot Trainer mimics being at full draw with a bow, so you can use it with any style of release. Clip your release onto the loop end and practice finding your anchor position.

As you turn your hand, you can see any torque in your front grip by watching the string alignment shift. You want the string running dead center down the grip. You can practice different hand positions without the bow trying to pull the release aid out of your hand.

The knots on top have a small burned dot that works as an aiming reference. Point it at a target, pull through your shot, and work on getting that surprise release.

Five Colors and Quick Adjustments

The Shot Trainer comes in five colors: Flo Orange, Blue, Red, Purple, and Flo Green. Adjusting the length takes seconds.

Squeeze the small tab on the bottom, shorten or lengthen as needed, pull the slack out the other end, and the sliding knot locks into place. Your draw length is set exactly where you want it, matching the setup from your full shot sequence.

Why I Use It With Every Student

I’ve used these with countless students over the years. When you want to work on reps and dial in your release aid, hand position, thumb acquisition, and trigger shaping, the Shot Trainer lets you do all of it without the fear of your bow pulling the release out of your hand.

Find the anchor position that feels best, trust the flow, point the knot at a target, and pull through. If you’re working through target panic, the Shot Trainer is one of the best tools for retraining your release.

Take It Anywhere

Travel is the other big advantage. Wrap it up, toss it in your backpack with your release aid, and take it on the road. If you work or travel frequently, the Shot Trainer goes anywhere you do.

Get in your cold bore reps no matter where you’re at. Put the Shot Trainer to use, and it’ll pay for itself.
