An Absolute Belly Dragger Black Bear Down FAST!
We’re up here in Alberta with an amazing opportunity from a local farmer to hunt a giant nuisance black bear that’s been lurking around a creek near the farmstead . We got to work right away by setting up the area for an efficient spot and stalk ambush. This bear is active throughout the night so the plan is to stay away from the territory right up until prime nocturnal hours in the break of morning or late evening to see if we can get a good shot on this giant. The wind has been coming in from the east which is problematic but the thermals just prior to the morning inversion gives a small window for a strike. We made a small path from the high ridge to the creek bottom coming from the west.
Sure enough, we use the low light to act fast! This hunt goes down fast with a Big Bruin and a Big Cut Broadhead.
I was hunting up with Red Willow Outfitters
